My mind is blank,
like the pages over here.
Just like all the kids who bully
and sneer,
At all the kids who they make fun of
until those kids start bringing in guns.
Then making fun of them doesn't seem,
as it did before, fun.
Just like the minds of all the great
who are under the ground,
they are blank and they don't
make a sound.
I remember my grandmother once told me,
always think,
think,
think,
because without your mind you'll go under the brink,
of humanity.
Think about the people.
Think about the cause.
Think of everyone that's been lost.
Every day, I see kids whose minds are blank,
closer to depression, they all sink.
Because a mind that's blank isn't a good thing to have,
one makes the wrong choices,
the choices that most say are bad,
like all the teachers, of all the schools,
telling the kids how
drugs
aren't
cool.
Most of the kid's don't listen,
their minds are blank
they have their friends to thank,
for the pot they're smoking,
and the heroin that goes up their arms.
Everyone sees it, they know all about it,
they notice those kids all losing their charms,
but their minds.
are.
blank.
When they find out, they don't even blink
They tell no one,
they keep it to themselves,
and the fact of the matter is that they have to think, think, think.
Now my mind isn't blank,
my papers are filled,
I've got all of it done,
And that's the way it's gonna be,
now.
then.
forever.
and always.
Because I never wanna be a druggie, or alcoholic,
Or be a lazy sow,
crashing on the couch,
getting low,
from my high,
because I can do anything if I set my mind to it,
anyone can, be themselves, and
reach.
the.
sky.
